The Barossa Podcast
You can’t know a place until you know it’s stories, all of the them. The good, the bad the awkward and the hilarious ones. The Barossa Podcast by 100 Barossa Artists aims to paint a picture through words of the creative region we live in; creating understanding through the power of voice and narrative, informing, building community connection and influencing positive change. 100 Barossa Artists is an artist led initiative creating opportunities to upscale Arts in the greater Barossa region, focused on the development of grassroots, collaborative projects within the art community. This project is the next step to recognise and grow from 10 to 100 to 1000 Barossa Artists capturing 100 Barossa Stories, a ’self portrait’ through the the art of storytelling.

This episode of The Barossa Podcast is a collection of stories from one of our live storytelling events, Speak. These events are for everyone in our community to tell a story.
The event was held in November 2022 , and the theme for the evening, and for our stories was ‘Half Baked’.
We had 10 storytellers who were all fantastic, but all told very different stories. We have split the night in to two episodes and have left in the commentary from our MC Maz Mcgann. She does a great job of tying it altogether.
Hopefully as you listen to the next couple of episodes you will be able to imagine that you were sitting with us in Rehn beer in downtown Tanunda, listening to some tall tales from the 100 Barossa artists community.
Thank you for sharing your stories with us.
