The Barossa Podcast Episode 2 Community Warrior (part 1)
The Barossa Podcast - The Community Warrior
Welcome to the Barossa Podcast, a 100 Barossa Artists Project.
We would like to begin by acknowledging the traditional owners of
our region, the Kuarna, Ngadjuri and Peramangk peoples and pay our respects to
their elders past and present. They are the custodians of many millennia of
stories.
You can’t know a place until you know its stories, all of them,
the good, sad, the awkward and hilarious ones. The ones told by people from all
walks of life who feel a connection to this place that we today call, Barossa.
We hope that by gathering the stories from our community, and
celebrating the extraordinary everyday, that we will be able paint a picture, figuratively speaking of who is here and who we are in 2022.
This project has been made possible by the generous support of
Foundation Barossa and the PLAET Look out for our live event Speak 100 Barossa
Storytellers.
Over two episodes we have a wide-ranging conversation with Virginia Armstrong, a self-proclaimed community warrior, covering topics ranging from creating a coup to building the Barossa’s best kept Halloween secret.
Hosted By: Rebecca Reynolds, Kirsty Kingsley, Renee de Saxe
